Do you remember being at school and there always being one kid who turned up for a game football in a full Barcelona strip, fluorescent boots and his own ball? Have you even been to hit a few golf balls and find you can't even hit them but a guy sets up next to you with all of the latest gear and wearing a Pringle pullover? You just know they're going to be absolutely brilliant and make you look like the amateur you are. Well turning up to a baby swim class, not knowing anyone and being the only Dad in the pool can make you feel just as amateur as that. But turning up with a Konfidence Swimologist bag over your shoulder and a baby decked head to toe in all of their gear makes you feel like an absolute pro! It seems cheesy to say so, but honestly; turning up to a swimming class with all of the Konfidence products fills you with, erm... well, confidence!!

Don't get me wrong, this stuff isn't magic. I most definitely am still an amateur, and Alice didn't break Michael Phelps' world record on her first outing but the fact is, it makes you feel good. Knowing you look great dressed in the best gear for the job puts you in a positive frame of mind and you can focus on the task at hand. You can enjoy your time in the pool all the more. If you're nervous about taking up organised swimming with your little one, get everything you need from Konfidence - you'll feel like that kid from school in the latest European football kit. You'll feel like that professional looking golfer. You might even break Michael Phelps' world record. Well perhaps not, but you get the point...

The greatest compliment that I can pay Coombe Mill is that it allows children to be children and it forces families to be families. Remember your own childhood, or traditional stories of a world that wasn't so wrapped up in technology and phone screens? Remember falling over, playing outdoors, paddling in streams and going on imaginary adventures? Remember skimming stones, rolling in the grass and swinging from climbing frames? Remember just being allowed to be a child and enjoy your surroundings? Coombe Mill not only allows you and your children to do this, but it practically forces you to. In the middle of nowhere and feeling seperated from the outside world, a short break here allows your family to play, relax and bond in a glorious setting. 

As well as traditional playtime, we rode trains, tractors, made friends with and fed a variety of farm animals, enjoyed picnics, BBQ's and bounced on trampolines; We toured the harbour towns and countryside of Cornwall, ate and drank traditional treats from Britains food capital and marvelled at scenes straight out of an Enyd Blyton story. We had the best week at Coombe Mill, and can't thank Fiona, Nick and their family enough for their warm hospitality. We'll definitely be back... it's just a matter of when!
