Dad In Training

The Siblings Moment I've Waited For

04/04/2015 06:24

The last time I wrote about our children and their relationship as siblings I spoke about my excitment of realising they were starting to form a bond and that we were hopefully close to something special forming. Well lately there has been more and more signs of that and the more that baby Alice develops a personality of her own, the closer we get to them interacting more. I'm loving watching the developments and the early stages of interaction but also a little worried about being tag teamed as they get smarter. Clayton is already teaching her cheeky habits and right now I'm watching them both take turns at pulling books from the shelf one by one. It makes me smile, but I'm sure it will get old pretty fast as they team up to cause mass chaos on an hourly basis. One thing that will never get old though is the likes of what was witnessed this morning. Ever since I found out that we were pregnant with our second child, I've waited for them to be able to positively interact and play. The moment we witnessed this morning was exactly that; The moment we've been waiting for and luckily was captured on video! Take a look for yourselves...

Ahhhh that is too cute. My boys love each other with such passion, but fight with equal ferocity!

That's adorable. It's nice to know they can be nice to each other (mine are occasionally too)

That's great, Ryan. It really is such a rewarding moment when siblings start to play together and entertain each other. It's more than enough to make you excuse those moments when they may not get on so well. Every now and then (not often!) our three play together in perfect harmony - I'm such a proud dad at moments like that!
